Planning your trip to the show? Most event websites include transport details, especially directions for those driving in. You can use the postcode in your Sat Nav to find the venue, but if you spot AA roadside signs guiding you to a car park, be sure to follow them instead—this helps keep traffic moving smoothly and avoids delays. Keep in mind that parking is usually assigned rather than chosen, and since most show car parks are grassy fields, they can get muddy in wet weather. Bringing rubber mats to place under your tyres can be a handy trick for extra traction!
Smaller country shows are often hosted in open fields, with locations that can change from year to year. Meanwhile, larger shows may have a dedicated showground—sometimes just a spacious field, but often with added features like permanent tracks, grand rings with smaller arenas, and even a few permanent buildings to enhance the experience.
